Hutchens Investment Management is an independent registered investment adviser located in Concord, New Hampshire. We are focused on meeting the investment needs of individuals and institutions.

William D. Hutchens, Jr., CFA, President
Mr. Hutchens founded Hutchens Investment Management in 1995. With 25 years of investment experience, Hutchens’s diverse background includes portfolio management and security analysis with Taylor Investments and Wang Development and Investment Corporation, institutional consulting with the Hannah Group, and portfolio accounting with State Street Bank and Trust. He is a graduate of Kent School and Hamilton College with majors in History and Psychology. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, CFA, a member of The Boston Security Analysts Society, and a board member of the Foundation for The Lorenzo Walker Institute of Technology.

Fletcher S. Cole, CFA, Director, Research
Mr. Cole formerly served as managing member and co-founder of New Leaf Asset Management, LLC. Previously, he was an officer in the U.S. Navy  and also worked with Gabelli & Company and E.R. Taylor Investments. From 1997-2001 he was Director of Research and portfolio manager for Hutchens Investment Management where he helped to refine the investment models. He also served as the primary portfolio manager for the firm’s mid cap accounts. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1986 with a bachelor’s degree in economics modified with computer science and earned his CFA designation in 1999.

David Minor, Economist
Mr. Minor has more than 30 years of experience in the investment business. He began his career with the Federal Reserve before moving to Wall Street where he served as President of Barrington Research and Director of Investments at Hawthorne Management & Research, Inc.. He also co-founded Gilder Technology Group and is currently President and Director of Innovation Capital Research. Mr. Minor holds a BA from Iona College and an MA in Economics from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Tracy M. Taylor, Senior Vice President, Operations
Ms. Taylor has been working in the financial industry for 10 years. After graduating from Franklin Pierce College with a BS degree in Accounting, she went on to assume multiple positions with the CPA Firm Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker.   Ms. Taylor is the PTO treasurer for two secondary schools in New Hampshire.
